The Saturday SCS Lakers U12s put together their most complete game of the year this weekend, securing a commanding 30-23 home win over the NS Eagles. The victory moves their record to 2-3-0 and serves as a major statement for the squad’s development. From the opening tip, the Lakers dictated the energy, jumping out to a dominant 8-0 run that caught the Eagles off guard. Ethan Espiritu ignited the spark with the game’s first bucket, followed quickly by scores from Josh Evans and Jai Singh. By the time Jai knocked down a pair of clinical free throws and a beautiful three-pointer, the Lakers had established a 14-7 cushion, eventually heading into the halftime break with a confident 18-13 lead.

 

The second half was a masterclass in depth and teamwork. Jai remained the focal point of the offense, finishing with a game-high 14 points and proving deadly from distance with two triples and perfect shooting at the charity stripe. However, it was the "total team" approach that truly sealed the result. Josh Evans contributed a steady 7 points, while Ethan Espiritu and Oscar contributed 4 points each in the paint.
